FAQ

What is the best age to photograph my newborn baby?

The sooner the better! Newborn Sessions usually take place within three weeks after baby is born. After the three-week mark, babies begin to move and stretch more, making the poses and images more challenging to achieve. But don't worry, it is still possible do a session after three weeks, we can work around what your baby is comfortable with.

When is the best time to schedule my baby's newborn session?

In order to guarantee a date on my calendar, it is suggested that sessions are booked 6-8 weeks in advance of your baby's arrival. Outside of the booking window or baby already here? No worries, I'll try my best to squeeze you in if I have an opening in my calendar.

Do you supply the props, outfits, and wraps for the newborn and milestone sessions?

My studio is supplied with plenty of fabric drops and props such as buckets, baskets, beds, and baby accessories, like headbands, outfits, wraps, bonnets, and hats. All you need to bring is your baby!

How long do newborn sessions take?

As long as baby is happy and sleeping, I'm able to finish almost all my sessions in approximately two and a half hours. But we know that baby is the boss, so your session may run longer to make sure I'm able to capture all of the images I know you're after!

Can I have a family picture with my newborn.

If you purchase my Signature or Timeless Collection, you have the option for family pictures (parents and siblings only) with your newborn. This includes mommy and me pictures, daddy and me pictures, sibling pictures, and family altogether.

My baby is already born, am I too late to schedule a newborn session?

If I have an opening in my calendar I am happy to accommodate.

Where will our session be?

All of my session are held in my studio located South of Midland, TX. Address is given after booking for safety purposes.

What should we wear for our parent/ family images?

Keep it simple! Mamas have access to my client closet (check out the client closet in the experience tab under info). For dad, a solid colored dress shirt or polo shirt in the same neutral tone as mom, the same goes for brother siblings. For sister siblings, a dress in a neutral tone works! Altogether, avoid shirts with words, graphics or bright neon colors.

What times and days are you available to photograph newborns?

I photograph newborns weekdays at 10 A.M. I also have limited weekends available (Saturday and Sunday).

Can I receive my images unedited/ raw?

No. The editing that I do is part of my artistic style and therefore I am unable to supply unedited files, as is the case with all respected professional photographers.

Can I purchase additional digital images?

Yes! Your session includes a set number of digital images but you may find yourself wanting more after viewing your gallery. 1 week after our session, you will have the opportunity to purchase additional digital images..

Who can I bring to our session?

It is ideally best to bring only immediate family members such as spouse and/ or other children you may have. Having too many people in the room can make the session feel rushed. Please get in contact with me if you'd like to bring others than just immediate family.

Can I order prints or albums through you?

Yes! Prints and album orders can be placed after reviewing your proofing gallery. If printing outside of my professional lab (like walgreens or CVS) I cannot guarantee the quality.

What is the turn around time on my images?

You will receive your proofing gallery 1 week after your session where you will select the images you'd like for me to edit. I will then have your selected images completely finalized 3 weeks after!

Do you offer outdoor sessions?

At the moment I don't. All sessions take place inside my studio.

Do you offer maternity sessions?

I only offer maternity sessions to my clients who book me for a newborn session.
